Vintage 1950s American Character Sweet Sue 17" Walker Doll Vintage Blue Dress. She has beautiful blue/green sleep eyes that function perfectly. The second hook is hanging just at the top, so a safety pin is needed for closure. You will LOVE this Beautiful Vintage 1950s American Character "Sweet Sue" 17" Walker Doll! This mid-century "Sweet Sue" walking doll was manufactured by the American Character Doll Company in the early 1950s. Standing approximately 17 inches tall, this lovely hard plastic doll features a walking mechanism, pretty brunette curls, and striking green sleep eyes with full, delicate eyelashes. She comes dressed in a stunning, (possibly original) tiered vintage sky-blue formal gown featuring intricate embroidery, white lace trim, and a matching satin waist ribbon. She is also wearing her vintage full-length white mesh stockings. She has beautiful blue/green sleep eyes that function perfectly. Condition Notes: Body & Face: Excellent vintage condition. Her hard plastic body is clean with excellent coloring. Her sleep eyes function smoothly, and her painted features (including her vibrant red lips) are bright and crisp. Her underarm plastic pushes out when her right arm is moved sometimes - It can be easily readjusted, but it's worthy of noting. See images of the plastic out & then put back into place. All arms/joints/everything move perfectly! She's just lovely! Outfit: The vintage blue dress is intact with beautiful color. The back features original hook-and-eye closures (a vintage safety pin has been added to securely fasten the mid-seam, as shown in photos).
