Antique 9” Just Me German Armand Marseille Bisque Doll Pre-Ginny Character. M painted bisque doll, an early character child widely considered a charming precursor to the later Ginny dolls. A lovely and increasingly collectible early German character doll with a wonderful face and strong connection to the later Ginny tradition. Antique 9” Just Me Germany A.310/7/0.M Bisque Doll Pre-Ginny Description: Sweet antique 9” Just Me registered Germany A.310/7/0.M painted bisque doll, an early character child widely considered a charming precursor to the later Ginny dolls. She has an absolutely darling expression with blue side-glancing sleep eyes, closed mouth, softly blushed cheeks, delicate brows, and a very curly blonde mohair wig tied with a pale pink ribbon. Marked on the back of the shoulder head: Just Me Registered Germany A.310/7/0.M She retains her sweet antique presentation in a pale pink dress with lace trim and comes with a tiny crocheted floral purse. The doll has wonderful display appeal and that classic childlike expression that made these early “Just Me” dolls so beloved. Condition notes: * Paint loss is present beneath the wig area, as shown in photos. * There is a small edge irregularity/chip near the head rim that appears consistent with a manufacturing firing flaw rather than later damage, and it is hidden beneath the wig. * Age wear and scattered wear to the silk/pink dress fabric. * General age-related wear consistent with antique dolls. **Ships insured.
