Sega CD Model 2 Console MK-4102A Clean ~ Does NOT Read Disc for Parts or Repair. I would start by replacing the laser eye and work out from there but keep in mind there is a chance the cat piss fried the disc drive board (where the scent is the strongest). As you can see from pics this unit is in Very Good condition for a console of this age. Up for auction is a Sega CD Model 2 MK-4102 Black Console for Parts or Repair/Does Not Read Discs - Please Read Below - As you can see from pics this unit is in Very Good condition for a console of this age. I cleaned the laser lens, cleaned the gears, Disassembled and cleaned plastics and attempted to repair the disc drive. Tested this Unit Thoroughly - Tested Various Games and Music CD's. I was able to get the laser to run up and down the rail after a bit of work but it seemed to want to pop up and down vertically in strange rapid movements, behavior i have never seen from a laser before. There is a smell of cat pee coming from the disc drive which i would attribute the faults to. May just be a minor adjustment that needs to be made to the spindle/disc drive or possibly the laser or spindle motor is fried.
